The department of computer science and engineering was established in the year 2003.The department is well equipped with high end Computers and printers. The present intake in B.Tech cse 60 and Diploma intake cse 60.Lab1 is equipped with 30 computers and is dedicated for MAT, VLSI, DSP labs. LAB2 is equipped with 60 computers and is dedicated for Communication Skills lab.
LAB3 is equipped with 60 computers and is dedicated for Operating systems, Compiler Design, C Language, CF labs. LAB4 is equipped with 60 computers and is dedicated for IT workshop labs. LAB5 is equipped with 62 computers and is dedicated for JAVA, DBMS, DWDM, labs. LAB6 is equipped with 30 computers and is dedicated for Data Structures, CASE Tools labs. LAB7 is equipped with 62 computers and is dedicated for WEB Technology, CASE Tools, Advanced JAVA labs. All the computers are well connected with local area network and students, staff can make use of internet with high Bandwidth.
The department is headed by N Lalitha and the Principal of BSIT is main striving force of cse department (He is a doctorate in computer science and engineering from the prestigious government university-JNTU). Staff members are well educated and dedicated towards their work. Students are well trained to do in house projects(on thrust areas like IOT, HADOOP ,BIG DATA network Security, Image processing etc.) using the resources available in computer labs. There is a tradition by students and staff of cse department in writing technical paper to conference and journals. The department will also conduct technical workshop, student development programs, faculty development programs etc.
